Together with prayer and loved ones, art serves as a great source of joy in my life. It is my passion and an adventure I plan on enjoying for a lifetime.
My inspiration comes mostly from cheerful, colorful topics in nature.
Conversing with others who share my art interests and visiting local botanic gardens helps to spark my creativity.
I especially enjoy painting with oils. With this medium I can easily add depth using rich impasto effects in certain areas of my paintings. Further, oils are perfectly suited to my personality in so many ways.
When creating in my studio, I usually rely on one or more of the following to obtain the final result: Sketches, notes, personal photographs, and a certain degree of imagination. Occasionally I also draw or paint outdoors. With each of my pieces, I extract as much beauty from what I see and transfer that onto my artwork.
It is through my art that I learn to break down into components what I see. Further, I learn the benefits of “slowing down and smelling the coffee beans”.
I sincerely hope you will enjoy viewing the images on these pages.
Let me know if you have any questions or comments. I would love to hear from you!
